CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution
•  If the cargo compartment light bulb is removed without disconnecting the negative battery terminal, the circuit may be shorted and the related parts such as the rear body control module (RBCM) may be damaged. Always disconnect the negative battery terminal before removing the cargo compartment light bulb/LED.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the cargo compartment light. (See CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Insert a remover tool into the gap between the lens and cargo compartment light.

4.  Widen the gap between the lens and cargo compartment light using the remover tool to detach the tabs of the lens from the cargo compartment light.

5.  Detach all tabs of the lens from the cargo compartment light and remove the lens.

6.  Press the spring of the cargo compartment light in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to detach the spring from the cargo compartment light bulb/LED.

Caution
•  If there is oil or dirt on the surface of the light bulb, excessive heat will build up and the life of the light bulb will be shortened. If the light bulb glass area is touched, wipe off any dirt using a soft cloth dampened with detergent diluted in water (approx. 5 %).

7.  Remove the cargo compartment light bulb/LED.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
