Installation Procedure

1.  Drill holes for the plug welding before installing the new parts.

2.  When installing new parts, measure and adjust the body as necessary to conform with standard dimensions.

3.  After temporarily installing new parts, make sure the related parts fit properly.

4.  While lowering the rear end panel, place it inside the cabin in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and then turn it in the direction of arrow (2).

5.  Move the rear end panel in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the figure while installing the stud bolt.

6.  After repairing the ends of the rear fender panel (lower), cut and join the location indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

Caution

•  If there is a gap between the rear end panel and the end of the repaired rear fender lower panel, abnormal noise may occur due to vibration and welding defects caused by burn-through during plug welding. When performing plug welding after repairing the end of the rear fender lower panel, secure them using a vise to prevent a gap from forming between the rear end panel.

7.  Arc weld (spot weld) the 8 locations indicated by (B) from the trunk component side shown in the figure.

8.  Plug weld the 16 locations indicated by (C) from the trunk component side shown in the figure.

9.  Plug weld the 59 locations indicated by (D) shown in the figure then install the rear end panel.
