•  The Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) notifies the driver that the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) is operating (brake control (SCBS brake) is operating).

•  The Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) is built into the instrument cluster.

Operation

•  While the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) is not operating, operating, or malfunctioning, the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) turns on as indicated in the table.

1.  The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) sends (1) a Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) illumination request signal to the instrument cluster.

2.  When the instrument cluster receives the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) illumination request signal, it turns the transistor on (2) and the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) is turned on (3).
