Purpose, Function
• Vacuum generated by the vacuum pump operation is introduced to the regulating valve actuator.
• The regulating valve opens according to the control signal from the PCM.
Construction
• The regulating solenoid valve is installed to the vacuum pipe bracket on the side of the turbocharger.
• The regulating solenoid valve consists of a coil, spring, and plunger.
Operation
• According to the control signal from the PCM, the coil is energized and the plunger is operated to open/close the regulating solenoid valve.
• Vacuum generated by the vacuum pump operation is introduced to the regulating valve actuator by the opening of the regulating solenoid valve.
