LDWS OFF INDICATION/LDWS OFF INDICATOR LIGHT

Purpose
• The LDWS OFF indication notifies the driver that the lane departure warning system (LDWS) is not operating or a malfunction is occurring in the LDWS.
Functions
• The instrument cluster displays/turns on the LDWS OFF indication/LDWS OFF indicator light based on the system condition display request signal sent from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.
Construction
• The LDWS OFF indication is displayed in the multi-information display. (Instrument cluster type A)
• The LDWS OFF indicator light is built into the instrument cluster. (Instrument cluster type B)
• For vehicles with the center display, a warning message is displayed in the center display at the same time as when the ldws off indication/ldws off indicator light is displayed/turned on after a malfunction occurs in the lane departure warning system (LDWS). Operation
LDWS OFF indication
1. The instrument cluster receives (1) a system condition display request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster displays (2) a LDWS OFF indication in the multi-information display based on the system condition display request signal.
LDWS OFF indicator light
1. The instrument cluster receives (1) a system condition display request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system condition display request signal.
3. When the transistor turns on, the LDWS OFF indicator light turns on (3).
