CHECK VALVE (EMISSION SYSTEM) [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T]
id0116q4195400
Purpose, Function
Ejector side/intake manifold side
• The check valve prevents flow back of evaporative gas due to the pressure during boosting.
Fuel tank side
• The check valve adjusts and maintains the pressure in the fuel tank at a constant pressure.
Construction
• Quick release connectors are located on the following:
Ejector side/intake manifold side
-
• The check valve is located between the purge solenoid valve and ejector. (ejector side)
Ejector side
• The check valve is located between the purge solenoid valve and intake manifold. (intake manifold side)
Intake manifold side
-
• The check valve is a one-way valve.
• The check valve consists of the valve, and spring.
Fuel tank side
-
• The check valve is located between the fuel tank and charcoal canister.
• The check valve consists of the valve, spring, and umbrella.
Operation
Ejector side/Intake manifold side
-
• The one-way valve opens by the positive pressure from the purge solenoid valve to introduce evaporative gas to the ejector or the intake manifold.
Fuel tank side
-
• When the pressure in the fuel tank reaches positive pressure, the evaporative gas passage opens to introduce the evaporative gas from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister.
• When the pressure in the fuel tank reaches negative pressure due to fuel consumption, the evaporative gas passage opens to introduce atmosphere from the charcoal canister to the fuel tank.
