DETECTION CONDITION
•  C0044:28, C0044:64
―  The pressure from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification.
•  C0044:47, C0044:49
―  The voltage value from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification.
•  C0044:51, C0044:8F
―  The DSC HU/CM detects the internal brake fluid pressure sensor circuit malfunction.
•  C0044:54
―  The brake fluid pressure sensor detects the initialization procedure has not been perform.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
Refer to “DTC Table” and “Fail-safe function table”. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  The initialization procedure for the brake fluid pressure sensor has not been performed.
•  Brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction
•  Open or short circuit in the brake fluid pressure sensor circuit in DSC HU/CM

VERIFY INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
•  Was the brake fluid pressure sensor initialization procedure been performed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Perform the brake fluid pressure sensor initialization procedure, then go to the next step.
(See DSC RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)

VERIFY NO ABNORMALITY ON BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR
•  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM.
•  Start the engine and drive the vehicle at 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more.
•  Retrieve the DSC HU/CM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Are the same DTCs present?
Yes
Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
