ACCESSORY SOCKET

Purpose

• By inserting the plug of an electrical device, the accessory socket supplies 12 V (maximum 120 W) of power enabling use of the electrical device in the vehicle.

Function

• When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on), the accessory socket supplies 12 V (maximum 120 W) of power.

Structure/Construction

• An accessory socket installs a cap to prevent penetration of foreign matter in the socket such as dust.

• The front accessory socket is located on the front console.

• The center accessory socket is located on the rear console.

• The rear accessory socket is located on the trunk side trim (RH).

Operation

Front accessory socket

1. When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on), the start stop unit turns the ACC relay on (1).

2. When the ACC relay turns on, electric current flows (2) to the front accessory socket.

3. The front accessory socket supplies power constantly to the electrical device inserted in the plug.

Center accessory socket

1. When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on), the start stop unit turns the outlet relay on (1).

2. When the outlet relay turns on, electric current flows (2) to the center accessory socket.

3. The center accessory socket supplies power constantly to the electrical device inserted in the plug.

Rear accessory socket

1. When the ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on), the start stop unit turns the ACC relay on (1).

2. When the ACC relay turns on, electric current flows (2) to the rear accessory socket.

3. The rear accessory socket supplies power constantly to the electrical device inserted in the plug.
