1.Position plastigage atop the journals in the axial direction.

2.Install the camshaft cap. (See CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY (II) [MZR-CD 2.2].)

3.Remove the camshaft cap. (See CYLINDER HEAD DISASSEMBLY (I) [MZR-CD 2.2].)

4.Measure the oil clearance.

• If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the cylinder head.
