1.Install the camshaft cap. (See CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY (II) [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.Measure the camshaft end play.

• If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the cylinder head or camshaft.

0.07—0.19 mm {0.003—0.007 in}

Camshaft maximum end play

0.23 mm {0.0091 in}

3.Remove the camshaft cap. (See CYLINDER HEAD DISASSEMBLY (I) [MZR-CD 2.2].)
