| DTC P2BAE:00 |
NOx exceedance-NOx control monitoring system |
|---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
• The SCR control module monitors the NOx concentration in the exhaust gas detected by the NOx sensor. If the difference in NOx concentration is less than 20 ppm depending on whether AdBlue® is injected or not, the SCR control module detects that there is a malfunction in the SCR system.
Monitoring condition
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the SCR control unit detects the above malfunction condition in first drive cycle.
• The SCR warning light flashes if the SCR control unit detects the above malfunction condition in first drive cycle.
• PENDING CODE is available if the SCR control unit detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2) and snapshot data are available.
• The DTC is stored in the SCR control unit memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Urea injector malfunction
• Foreign matter in or clogging of injection nozzle of urea injector
• AdBlue® deterioration
• Urea mixer malfunction
• SCR converter clacked or damaged
• NOx sensor malfunction
• SCR control module malfunction

Go to Step 7.
No
Go to the next step.
5
INSPECT WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS IN UREA INJECTOR OR ELSEWHERE
• Perform AdBlue® Injection Amount Inspection using the M-MDS. (See
SCR SYSTEM INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
• Is the AdBlue® injection amount within the specified?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace malfunctioning part according inspection result, then go to Step 7.
6
INSPECT UREA INJECTOR FOR RESTRICT
• Visually inspect the injection nozzle of the urea injector for foreign matter or clogging.
• Is there foreign matter or clogging?
Yes
After cleaning the injector nozzle of the urea injector with water, go to the next step.
No
Replace the AdBlue® to SCR tank till filled up, then go to the next step.

DETERMINE IF THE MALFUNCTION IS CAUSED BY THE AdBlue® INJECTION SYSTEM OR CONVERTER SYSTEM
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the SCR control unit memory using the M-MDS.
• Perform the OBD DRIVE MODE for SCR system. (See
OBD DRIVE MODE [MZR-CD 2.2].)
• Retrieve the DTC using the M-MDS.
• Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?
Yes
Perform all the steps which have not been performed to Step 7.
If DTC P2BAE:00 is detected even though all steps have been performed, go to the next step.
