DTC P2200:13, P2200:1D [MZR-CD 2.2]

id0102f3329800

DTC P2200:13

DTC P2200:1D

NOx sensor circuit

DETECTION CONDITION
• The SCR control module monitors the NOx sensor signal via the NOx sensor control module while the engine is switched on. If the SCR control module receives a signal in which the NOx sensor output voltage from the NOx sensor control module is less or more than the threshold for 5 s or more, the SCR control module detects that there is a malfunction in the NOx sensor circuit.
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL illuminates if the SCR control unit detects the above malfunction condition in first drive cycle.
• The SCR warning light flashes if the NOx sensor control module detects the above malfunction condition in first drive cycle.
• PENDING CODE is available if the NOx sensor control module detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2) and snapshot data are available.
• The DTC is stored in the SCR control unit memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• NOx sensor loosely installation
• Exhaust gas leakage in exhaust system at upstream of NOx sensor
• NOx sensor/NOx sensor control module malfunction

Diagnostic procedure

STEP

INSPECTION

ACTION

1
VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA AND DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS HAS BEEN RECORDED
• Have FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2) or snapshot data been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2) and snapshot data on the repair order, then go to the next step.
2
VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
• Verify related Service Information availability.
• Is any related Service Information available?
Yes
Perform the repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
• If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
3
IDENTIFY TRIGGER DTC FOR FREEZE FRAME DATA (MODE2)
• Is DTC P2200:13 or P2200:1D on FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2)?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to troubleshooting for DTC on FREEZE FRAME DATA (mode2).
4
INSPECT NOX SENSOR
• Inspect the NOx sensor. (See NOX SENSOR INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
• Is the NOx sensor normal?
Yes
Go to Step 7.
No
Go to the next step.
5
INSPECT INSTALLATION OF NOX SENSOR
• Verify the NOx sensor installation.
• Is the A/F sensor installed securely?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Retighten the NOx sensor, then go to Step 7.
6
INSPECT WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS IN OR NOX SENSOR OR EXHAUST GAS LEAKAGE
• Visually inspect for the exhaust gas leakage between the exhaust manifold and NOx sensor.
• Is there any leakage?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to the next step.
No
Replace the NOx sensor, then go to the next step.
7
VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P2200:13 OR P2200:1D COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the SCR control unit memory using the M-MDS.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Retrieve the DTC using the M-MDS.
• Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?
Yes
Replace the NOx sensor, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
8
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [MZR-CD 2.2].)
• Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
