SCR WARNING LIGHT FLASHES

DESCRIPTION
• SCR warning light flashes because of the AdBlue® supply begins to run out or SCR system is malfunctioning.
• Possible travel distance is displayed on AdBlue® gauge.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• AdBlue® residual quantity in urea tank is low.
• SCR control unit detects SCR system component malfunction.

Switch the ignition to ON.
Retrieve any SCR control unit DTCs using the M-MDS.
Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
DTC is displayed:
Go to the appropriate DTC test.
Communication error message is displayed:
Inspect the following:
• Open circuit between DLC-2 and SCR control unit terminal 61 or 62
• Open circuit SCR relay and SCR control unit terminal 1, 3, 5, 73
• SCR relay stuck open
• Open or poor ground circuit (SCR control unit terminal 7)
• Poor connection to vehicle body ground
No
Refill the AdBlue® to urea tank till filled up.

Verify test results.
• If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. (See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTIC INDEX [MZR-CD 2.2].)
• If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
― If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed.
― If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, reprogram the PCM if later calibration is available.
