1.Remove the joint shaft. (See JOINT SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [4WD].)
2.Disconnect the engine and transaxle. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R (MZR-CD 2.2)].)
3.Remove the EGR pipe, EGR valve and EGR cooler. (See EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
4.Remove the exhaust system. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
5.Remove the intake-air system. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
6.Remove the supply pump. (See SUPPLY PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
7.Remove the fuel injectors. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
8.Remove the oil cooler. (See OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
9.Remove the oil filter. (See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT [MZR-CD 2.2].)
10.Remove the water pump and thermostat case component. (See WATER PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
11.Remove the crankshaft pulley. (See FRONT OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT [MZR-CD 2.2].)
12.Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
13.Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
