1.Position the vehicle on level ground.
2.Remove the oil filler cap.
3.Remove the service hole cover (installed to under cover) used to drain the engine oil.

4.Remove the oil pan drain plug.
5.Drain the engine oil into a container.
6.Install the oil pan drain plug with a new gasket.
7.Refill with the following type and amount of the engine oil.

8.Install the oil filler cap.
9.Start the engine and confirm that there is no oil leakage.
10.Inspect the oil level.
11.Install the service hole cover.
12.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

13.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
14.Perform engine oil data reset procedure. (See \nENGINE OIL DATA RESET [MZR-CD 2.2].)
15.Turn the ignition switch off.
16.Wait for 20 s.
17.Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
18.Verify that the traveled distance has been reset after the engine oil replacement, using the PID OILCHG_DIS. (See \nON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].)
—If the traveled distance has not been reset, perform the engine oil data reset again.
19.Turn the ignition switch off.
