Note
• If the urea tank is replaced, always perform each adjustment procedure using the following steps.
• If the urea tank is replaced, replace it together with the urea pump.

Replace the urea pump, urea tank component.

Add AdBlue® up to the maximum capacity of the urea tank using the specified tool.
(See AdBlue® BLEEDING/CHARGING [MZR-CD 2.2].)

Start the engine.

Drive the vehicle at a speed of 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more for 3 min.

Verify that the urea level of the urea tank is 100% using the following PID.
― TANK_LEV
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].)

Verify that the four gauges are displayed.
Verify that the MIL and the SCR warning light do not illuminate.

Switch the ignition to off.

1.Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See. BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2])

2.Drain the adblue® in the tank using the specified tool. (SEE AdBlue® BLEEDING/CHARGING [MZR-CD 2.2].)

3.Remove the service hole cover.

4.Disconnect the connectors from the urea tank side.

5.Disconnect the quick release connector from the urea tank side.

6.Support the urea tank with a jack.

7.Remove in the order shown in the table.

8.Install in the reverse order of removal.

Wiring Harness Installation Note

1.Install the band clips shown in the figure.

1. First rib rotated counterclockwise from the standard position of the clip
2. Second rib rotated clockwise from the rib in Step 1
3. Rib 180 degrees opposite from the rib in Step 2
4. Left surface of the urea tank

2.Install the wiring harness as shown in the figure and secure it using the band clips and plate clips.

Note
• Cut off the excess length from the bands so that the remaining length is within 10 mm {0.39 in}.

Caution
• Be careful that there is no interference with the vehicle body and that the wiring harness is not caught.

1.Align the urea tank so that the tabs are inserted into their installation holes.

2.Temporarily tighten the bolt shown in the figure.

3.Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.

Tightening torque
44—60 N·m {4.5—6.1 kgf·m, 33—44 ft·lbf}
