Warning

• When the engine is hot, it can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.

1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L5].)

3.Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.

4.Remove the ECT sensor using the SST.

5.Install in the reverse order of removal.

6.Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L5].)
