Without Using the M-MDS
PCM inspection preparation
1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5].)
3.Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (SeeWINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4.Remove the cowl grille. (SeeCOWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5.Remove the windshield wiper motor. (SeeWINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6.Remove the cowl panel. (SeeCOWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7.Remove the PCM bracket with the PCM connector still connected. (SeePCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5].)
8.Install the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5].)
9.Connect the negative battery cable.
