• Use the IDS (laptop PC) because the PDS (Pocket PC) does not support the FUEL INJECTOR INJECTION AMOUNT CORRECTION

Using M-MDS

1.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.

1. Select the “Powertrain”.

2. Select the “Engine Checks”.

3.Then, select items from the screen menu in the following order.

1. Select “Learning”.

2. Select “Injection Amount Correction”.

4.Perform the procedure according to the directions on the screen.

5.Retrieve DTC’s using the M-MDS, then verify if DTCs are present.

• If a DTC is present, perform the applicable DTC inspection.

Note

• If there is an error in the fuel injection amount learning, use the following PIDs to verify the cause of the error.

• If there are several errors in the fuel injection amount learning, the additional display codes are indicated.

Without using M-MDS

1.Start the engine.

2.Repeatedly short circuit between terminals of the TEST terminal 5 times within 5 seconds using a jumper wire.

― If the glow indicator light does not illuminate, return to procedure 2.
