• According to the amount of accumulated particulate matter (PM) in the diesel particulate filter, the diesel particulate filter indicator light or MIL, or both, illuminates or flashes.
• Normal and long modes are available for diesel particulate filter manual regeneration. The PCM calculates the amount of accumulated PM, automatically selects normal mode or long mode according to the amount, then diesel particulate filter manual regeneration is performed. In diesel particulate filter manual regeneration, regeneration is forcibly performed using the M-MDS.
• Depending on the amount of accumulated PM, it may take a maximum of
120 min. from the time diesel particulate filter manual regeneration is started to the time the diesel particulate filter indicator light goes out.
• If any of the below DTCs are stored in the PCM, manual regeneration will be blocked by the PCM. Carry out the appropriate inspection procedure for the stored DTCs before commencing manual regeneration: P0030:00, P0045:00, P0093:00, P0097:00, P0098:00, P0101:00, P0102:00, P0103:00, P0106:00, P0107:00, P0108:00, P0112:00, P0113:00, P0117:00, P0118:00, P0131:00, P0132:00, P0133:00, P0134:00, P0151:00, P0152:00, P0154:00, P0191:00, P0192:00, P0193:00, P0201:00, P0202:00, P0203:00, P0204:00, P0299:00, P0301:00, P0302:00, P0303:00, P0304:00, P0313,00, P0337:00, P0406:00, P0500:00, P0545:00, P0546:00, P0605:00, P0606:00, P062A:00, P115B:00, P1378:00, P1379:00, P1589:00, P1675:00, P1676:00, P2002:00, P2032:00, P2033:00, P2101:00, P2146:00, P2147:00, P2148:00, P2149:00, P2150:00, P2151:00, P2228:00, P2229:00, P242C:00, P242D:00, P2454:00, P2455:00, P2456:00, P2621:00, P2622:00, P242F:00*. *:For P242F:00 manual regeneration will only be blocked if an excessive amount of soot is in the diesel particulate filter.
• If canceling diesel particulate filter manual regeneration, perform the following procedure:
-
1. During diesel particulate filter manual regeneration, depress the clutch pedal and shift to 1st gear. (Keep depressing the clutch pedal.)
2. Verify that the engine speed decreases from
1,750 to
775 rpm. (Manual regeneration is canceled.)
3. To stabilize the exhaust gas temperature, shift to neutral soon after the engine speed decreases to
775 rpm, and keep the engine speed at
3,000 rpm for 1 min. (Finished)
-
― If diesel particulate filter manual regeneration is to be performed again, leave the vehicle untouched for
approx. 5 min. before starting the operation.
