• Perform the following test only when directed.

Visual inspection

1.Visually inspect the MAF sensor for the following:

• Dirt, damage, cracks

• Rusted sensor terminal

• Bent sensor terminal

― If there is any malfunction, replace the MAF/IAT sensor. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

Sensor Output Value Inspection

1.Switch the ignition to ON.

2.Monitor the MAF PID using the M-MDS. (See PCM INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

3.If not as specified, replace the MAF/IAT sensor. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
