• If the SCR control unit is replaced, always perform each adjustment procedure using the following steps.

Perform SCR control unit configuration procedure.

If the SCR control unit configuration is successfully completed, go to Step 8.
If the SCR control unit configuration is not successfully completed, go to the next step.

Install new SCR control unit.

Start the engine.

Perform diesel particulate filter assessment procedure.
Engine coolant temperature 60 °C {140 °F} or more.

Perform diesel particulate filter regeneration procedure.
Engine coolant temperature 70 °C {158 °F} or more.
(See DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

Using the following PIDs, verify that the diesel particulate filter regeneration has been completed.
― REG_REQ_A
― REG_REQ_F

Switch the ignition to off.

Add AdBlue® up to the maximum capacity of the urea tank using the specified tool.
(See AdBlue® BLEEDING/CHARGING [MZR-CD 2.2].)

Start the engine.

Drive the vehicle at a speed of 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more for 3 min.

Verify that the urea level of the urea tank is 100% using the following PID.
― TANK_LEV

Verify that the four gauges are displayed.
Verify that the MIL and the SCR warning light do not illuminate.

Switch the ignition to off.

1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Remove the front seat (LH). (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Remove the front scuff plate inner (LH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.Remove the rear scuff plate inner (LH). (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.Remove the front side trim (LH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.Remove the seat belt lower anchor bolt (LH). (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.Partially peek back floor covering.

8.Disconnect SCR control unit connector.

9.Remove in the order indicated in the table.

10.Install in the reverse order of removal.

1.Temporarily tighten the SCR control unit assembly bolts in the order shown.
