• When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, inspect the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illumination, AT warning light illumination, and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC), and then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.

― If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL].)

― If a DTC does not exist, the MIL does not illuminates and the AT warning light illuminates, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL].)

Note

• If a tire of a different diameter from the standard tire is installed, the TCM determines that the driving mode is the AAS mode, and may change to a different shift timing from the normal timing.
