Caution

• Cleaning the clutch release collar with cleaning fluids or a steam cleaner can wash the grease out of the sealed bearing.

1.Refer to CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION to remove the clutch release collar. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R (MZR-CD 2.2)].)

2.Turn the collar while applying force in the axial direction.

• If the collar sticks or has excessive resistance, replace the clutch release collar. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R (MZR-CD 2.2)].)

3.Install in the reverse order of removal.

4.Start the engine. And inspect and adjust the following:

• Front wheel alignment (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT.)

• Power steering fluid air bleeding (See CLUTCH FLUID AIR BLEEDING/REPLACEMENT.)

• Leakage of engine oil, engine coolant, transaxle oil.

• Runout and contact of pulley and belt.

• Verify the idle speed. (See ENGINE TUNE-UP [MZR-CD 2.2].)

• Engine-driven accessories operation.
