POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Related wiring harnesses malfunction
• The coil antenna is pulled out
• Cockle antenna malfunction
• Instrument cluster malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

STEP

INSPECTION

ACTION

1
VERIFY COIL ANTENNA CORRECTLY INSTALLED
• Verify the installation condition of the coil antenna.
• Is the coil antenna correctly installed? (Is the connector pulled out?)
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Install the coil antenna correctly, then go to the next step.
2
INSPECT COIL ANTENNA POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the coil antenna connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
• Measure the voltage at coil antenna connector terminal B.
― Is the voltage 8 V or more?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness, then go to Step 8.
3
INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN COIL ANTENNA AND GROUND
• Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between coil antenna connector terminal C and ground.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness, then go to Step 8.
4
INSPECT COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT (INPUT) FOR CONTINUITY
• Disconnect the instrument cluster connector
• Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between coil antenna connector terminal B and Instrument cluster connector terminal 2S.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the coil antenna and the Instrument cluster, then go to Step 8.
5
INSPECT COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT (OUTPUT) FOR CONTINUITY
• Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between coil antenna connector terminal A and Instrument cluster connector terminal 2Q.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the coil antenna and the Instrument cluster, then go to Step 8.
6
INSPECT COIL ANTENNA INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Connect the coil antenna connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
• Measure the voltage at coil antenna connector terminal B.
― Is the voltage 8 V or more?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replacing the coil antenna.
Go to Step 8
7
INSPECT COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT (OUTPUT) FOR CONTINUITY
• Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between coil antenna connector terminal A and ground.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
• Replacing the coil antenna. (See COIL ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
• Go to the next step
8
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR
• Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)].)
• Verify DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)].)
• Are DTCs output again?
― Instrument cluster: B10D9:87
― PCM: P1260:00
Yes
• Replace the Instrument cluster and program the immobilizer system-related parts. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM].)
• Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
9
VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
• Verify if other DTCs are displayed.
• Are any other DTCs output?
Yes
Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
