1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Remove the following parts:

(1)Front scuff plate inner (driver’s side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Front side trim (driver’s side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Brake boot (MTX) (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R].)

(6)Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)Lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Pull the upper column cover upward and detach the upper column cover from the lower column cover.

4.Pull the meter hood and remove clips A and tabs B.

5.Remove the meter hood.

6.Install in the reverse order of removal.
