Driver’s Side

1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Remove the following parts:

(1)Front scuff plate inner (driver’s side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Front side trim (driver’s side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Brake boot (MTX) (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R].)

(6)Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Remove the screws.

4.Pull the lower panel outward and detach clips A.

5.Remove the passenger compartment temperature sensor. (Full auto air conditioner) (See CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

6.Disconnect the headlight leveling switch connector and TCS OFF switch connector.

7.Remove the lower panel.

8.Install in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger’s Side

1.Remove the following parts:

(1)Front scuff plate inner (passenger’s side) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Front side trim (passenger’s side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Brake boot (MTX) (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R].)

(6)Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.Remove the screws.

3.Pull the lower panel outward and detach clips A.

4.Remove the lower panel.

5.Install in the reverse order of removal.
