1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Remove the following parts:

(1)Brake boot (MTX) (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A26MX-R].)

(4)Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Connect a commercially-available nonresistant plug to the auxiliary jack.

4.Verify that the continuity between the auxiliary jack terminals is as indicated in the table.

• If not as indicated in the table, replace the auxiliary jack.
