1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Remove the inner garnish. (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.Apply battery voltage to power outer mirror terminal M, and terminal N to ground.

• Verify that the RVM warning indicator light illuminates.

5.Remove the outer mirror glass. (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL.) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION.)

6.Apply battery voltage to RVM warning indicator light terminal A, and terminal B to ground.

• Verify that the RVM warning indicator light illuminates. If there is any malfunction, replace the RVM warning indicator light.

7.Inspect for continuity between the following terminals:

• Power outer mirror terminal M—RVM warning indicator light terminal A

• Power outer mirror terminal N—RVM warning indicator light terminal B

― If not as indicated in the table, replace the power outer mirror.
