Gap Adjustment

1. Measure the gap between the bonnet and body.

Standard clearance

a: 0.0—3.6 mm {0.00—0.14 in}

b: -1.5—2.5 mm {-0.05—0.09 in}

c: -2.0—2.0 mm {-0.078—0.078 in}

d: 0.6—2.0 mm {0.02—0.07 in}

e: -1.0—1.0 mm {-0.039—0.039 in}

f: -1.5—1.5 mm {-0.05—0.054 in}

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the following parts:

4. Loosen the bonnet hinge installation bolts and adjust the bonnet.

5. Tighten the bolts. (See BONNET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

Height Adjustment

1. Measure the height difference between the bonnet and body.

Clearance

a: 2.8—5.8 mm {0.11—0.22 in}

b: 3.0—6.0 mm {0.12—0.23 in}

c: 1.0—6.0 mm {0.04—0.23 in}

d: 2.0—6.0 mm {0.08—0.23 in}

f: 2.8—5.2 mm {0.12—0.20 in}

2. Turn the stop rubber to adjust.
