REAR SHOCK ABSORBER DISPOSAL

Warning
•  Whenever drilling into a rear shock absorber, always wear protective eye wear as the gas in the shock absorber is pressurized and could spray metal filings into the eyes.

1.  Set the rear shock absorber horizontally or with the piston pointed downward.

2.  Drill a 2—3 mm {0.08—0.11 in} hole at point A shown in the figure and exhaust the gas.

Point A: 40—50 mm {1.6—1.8 in}

3.  Point the hole drilled in Step 2 downward, pump the piston rod up and down several times, and drain the oil.

4.  Cut off the bottom of the rear shock absorber.

5.  Dispose of the drained oil according to local waste disposal laws.
