1.  Install the rear stabilizer bushing with the slit pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

2.  During rear stabilizer bracket installation, keep the deviation in the positions of the rear stabilizer bracket and the rear stabilizer bushing within the range shown in the figure. (See Rear Stabilizer Bracket Installation Note.)

W1: 0.5 mm {0.02 in} or less
W2: 2 mm {0.08 in} or less

3.  After installing the rear stabilizer bracket, verify that the positions of the rear stabilizer bracket and the rear stabilizer bushing are within the range shown in the figure.

H1: 13 mm {0.51 in} or less
H2: 13 mm {0.51 in} or less

4.  After installing the rear stabilizer bracket, verify that the right and left-side positions of the rear stabilizer bracket are within the range shown in the figure.

H3: 3 mm {0.1 in} or less

5.  Place the rear stabilizer component on a level workbench, and verify that it is within the range shown in the figure.

H4: 61.5—81.5 mm {2.43—3.20 in}

6.  Install the rear stabilizer component as shown in the figure.

7.  Point the identification mark towards the right side of the vehicle and install the rear stabilizer component.

8.  Temporarily tighten nuts A and B shown in the figure.

9.  Tighten nut A.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

10.  Tighten nut B.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

11.  Tighten nut A.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

12.  Install the rear stabilizer control link.

1.  After installing the rear stabilizer bracket, verify that the positions of the rear stabilizer bracket and the rear stabilizer bushing are within the range shown in the figure.

2.  Install the rear stabilizer component as shown in the figure.

3.  Point the identification mark towards the right side of the vehicle and install the rear stabilizer component.

4.  Temporarily tighten nuts A and B shown in the figure.

5.  Tighten nut A.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

6.  Tighten nut B.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

7.  Tighten nut A.

Tightening torque
21—26 N·m {2.2—2.6 kgf·m, 16—19 ft·lbf}

8.  Install the rear stabilizer control link.

Rear Stabilizer Bracket Installation Note

1.  If the rear stabilizer bracket cannot be installed, install it using a vise.

Caution
•  If the rear stabilizer bracket is installed using a vise, it may deform.
•  Set a cylindrically-shaped object as shown in the figure so that pressure is applied to the rear stabilizer bracket flange, and install the rear stabilizer bracket to the rear stabilizer bushing.
