1.  Park the vehicle on level ground.

2.  Remove the oil filler plug and washer.

3.  Verify that there is oil near the oil filler plug installation hole using your hand.

•  If there is a lack of oil, add transfer oil from the oil filler plug installation hole.

Recommended transfer oil
MAZDA LONG LIFE HYPOID GEAR OIL SG1

4.  Tighten the new washer and oil filler plug.

40—58 N·m {4.1—5.9 kgf·m, 30—42 ft·lbf}
