Note
•  The TCM is built into the control valve body.

1.  Verify configuration implementation necessity for replacement parts.

2.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

3.  After vehicle identification is completed, select the following from the M-MDS initial screen.

1.  [Module programming]
2.  [Configuration/PMI]

4.  Then, select the following from the screen menu.

1.  [TCM]

5.  Perform the configuration following the instructions on the screen.

6.  Verify that no DTCs are stored. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION [TCM (GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL)].)

Note
•  When the system is normal, the U-code DTC is output.

7.  Delete the U-code DTC and verify that no DTC is output. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION [TCM (GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL)].)

•  If a DTC is displayed, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [TCM (GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL)].)
