SELECTOR LEVER INSPECTION

1.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).

2.  Inspect the selector lever as follows:

•  If there is a malfunction, adjust the selector cable. (See SELECTOR CABLE ADJUSTMENT.)

(1)  Verify that the selector lever can be shifted as shown in the figure.

(2)  Verify that the selector lever can be shifted smoothly with moderate operation.
