Purpose
• The front buckle switch signals the SAS control module as to whether the seat belt is inserted into the buckle or not.
• The second-row buckle switch signals the rear body control module (RBCM) as to whether the seat belt is inserted into the buckle or not.
• The third-row buckle switch signals the instrument cluster as to whether the seat belt is inserted into the buckle or not.
Function
• The front buckle switch sends a seat belt status signal to the SAS control module.
• The second-row buckle switch sends a seat belt status signal to the rear body control module (RBCM).
• The third-row buckle switch sends a seat belt status signal to the instrument cluster.
• The buckle switch turns on (contact point: Closed)/off (contact point: Open) according to the seat belt insertion condition.
Structure/Construction
• The buckle switch is integrated with the following buckle.

― Third-row buckle
• When the seat belt is not inserted into the buckle, the switch turns on (contact point: Closed).
• When the seat belt is inserted into the buckle, the switch turns off (contact point: Open).
