Operation
Panel light on operation
1. When the light switch is moved to the AUTO position with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), the start stop unit detects (1) an auto light signal.
2. The start stop unit sends (2) the auto light signal to the front body control module (FBCM) via CAN communication.
3. When the auto-light sensor determines (3) the headlight on/off from a change in the illumination level outside of the vehicle, it sends (4) a panel light on request signal to the front body control module (FBCM) via LIN communication.
4. When the front body control module (FBCM) receives the auto light signal and panel light illumination request signal, it turns the panel light on (5).

4. When the front body control module (FBCM) receives the auto light signal and panel light off request signal, it turns the panel light off (5).

3. When the auto-light sensor determines (3) the headlight on/off from a change in the illumination level outside of the vehicle, it sends (4) a TNS (parking lights) on request signal, and a headlight on request signal to the front body control module (FBCM) via LIN communication.
4. When the front body control module (FBCM) receives the auto light signal and TNS (parking lights) and headlight illumination request signal, it turns the TNS (parking lights) and headlights LO or HI on (5).
