FRONT FOG LIGHT

Purpose
• Visibility during poor weather conditions such as rain and fog has been improved by the front fog lights emitting light over a wider angle than the light from the headlights. In addition, the visibility of the vehicle by on-coming vehicles, pedestrians, and other people has been improved.
Function
• When the front body control module (FBCM) receives the front fog light signal sent via CAN communication from the start stop unit, it turns the front fog lights on.
Structure/Construction
• The round-type front fog lights are positioned in the front bumper.
• LED type front fog lights have been adopted.
Operation
Operation condition

• Ignition switched ON (engine off or on)
• Light switch position: TNS or HEAD
• Fog light switch position: F.FOG
Operation
-
1. When the fog light switch is moved to the F.FOG position, the start stop unit detects (1) a front fog light signal.
2. The start stop unit sends (2) the front fog light signal to the front body control module (FBCM) via CAN communication.
3. When the operation conditions are met, the front body control module (FBCM) turns the front fog light relay on (3).
4. When the front fog light relay turns on, the front fog light turns on (4).
