CENTER MAP LIGHT

Purpose
• The center map light illuminates the center of the vehicle interior.
Function
• When the center map light switch is on or the room light switch for the front map light is in the ON position, the center map lights turn on.
• The center map light turns on according to the lock condition of the driver's door and open/close conditions of the doors under the rear body control module (RBCM) control when the room light switch for front map light is in the DOOR position.
Structure/Construction
• A bulb type or LED type is available for the center map lights.
• The center map light is positioned in the center part of the headliner.

• When the rear body control module (RBCM) receives a lock signal on the remote transmitter with the ignition switched off and all doors/ liftgate closed, it automatically turns the center map light off.
Center map light switch operation
1. When the center map light switch is on (1), the center map light turns on (2).
Room light switch for front map light operation

ON position

1. When the room light switch for front map light is in the ON position (1), the center map lights turn on (2).

DOOR position
-
1. When any door is opened (2) with room light switch for front map light at the DOOR position (1), the rear body control module (RBCM) detects (3) a door open signal.
2. When the rear body control module (RBCM) detects the door open signal, it turns the transistor on (4).
3. When the transistor is on, the center map lights turn on (5).

• When the room light switch for front map light is in the DOOR position, the room light control system controls the timing for turning the center map light on and off. For details, refer to the [ROOM LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM]. (See
