FRONT MAP LIGHT

Purpose
• The front map light illuminates the area at the front of the vehicle interior.
Function
• The rear body control module (RBCM) detects the on/off of the front map light switch and controls the on/off of the front map light.
• The front map lights turn on according to the lock condition of the driver's door and open/close conditions of the doors under the rear body control module (RBCM) control when the room light switch is in the DOOR position.
Structure/Construction
• The front map light which is integrated with the sunglass holder has been adopted.
• The front map light is positioned in the front part of the headliner.
• The console ambient light is positioned in the front map light. (LED type)

• When the rear body control module (RBCM) receives a lock signal on the remote transmitter with the ignition switched off and all doors/ liftgate closed, it automatically turns the front map light off.

1. When the front map light switch is on (1), the front map light turns on (2).

1. When the room light switch is in the ON position (1), the front map lights turn on (2).

1. When any door is opened (1), the rear body control module (RBCM) detects (2) a door open signal.
2. When the rear body control module (RBCM) detects the door open signal, it turns the transistor on (3).
3. When the transistor is on with the room light switch at the DOOR position (4), the front map lights turn on (5).

• When the room light switch is in the DOOR position, the room light control system controls the timing for turning the front map light on and off. For details, refer to the [ROOM LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM]. (See
