TUNER AND AMP UNIT (TAU) INSPECTION

Note

•  The integrity of the tuner and amp unit (TAU) cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the tuner and amp unit (TAU), perform the following procedure.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the connectivity master unit (CMU) and verify if any DTCs related to the tuner and amp unit (TAU) is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].)

•  If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC INSPECTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].)

•  If DTCs are not detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM [WITH CENTER DISPLAY]].)
