Removal Procedure

Caution

•  If cutting work is done using flame, a fire could occur because an insulator is inserted in the location shown in the figure. When performing the cutting work near the insulator insert area, avoid using flame and use an air saw or drill.

1.  Rough cut the 3 locations in area A shown in the figure.

2.  Drill the spot welds in the 126 locations in area B shown in the figure.

3.  Drill the spot welds in the 4 locations in area C shown in the figure.

Note

•  When drilling the spot welds in the 4 locations in area C shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

4.  Remove the cab side frame outer (side sill outer).

5.  Drill the spot welds in the 40 locations in area D shown in the figure.

6.  Drill the spot welds in the 3 locations in area E shown in the figure from the interior.

7.  Press down the front end of the side sill reinforcement (front) in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull it in the direction of arrow (2), and then remove the side sill reinforcement (front).

8.  Drill the spot welds in the 10 locations in area F shown in the figure.

9.  Remove the side sill reinforcement (rear).
