Installation Procedure

Caution

• The continuous arc welding locations show the largest work range of the installation position.

1. After temporarily installing the new and existing parts, measure the dimensions of each part following the body dimensions and align with the basic dimension.

2. After temporarily installing the new part, make sure the related parts fit properly.

3. Rough cut the new part in area A shown in the figure.

• Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

4. Drill the spot welds in the 4 locations in area B shown in the figure.

Note

• When drilling the spot welds in the 4 locations in area B shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

5. Remove the front side frame (inner) and the front side frame reinforcement (inner) at the same time as shown in the figure.

6. Continuous arc weld in area C shown in the figure.

7. Plug welds in the 4 locations in area D shown in the figure and install the front side frame (inner) and the front side frame reinforcement (inner).

8. Rough cut the new part in area E shown in the figure.

Note

• Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

9. Drill the spot welds in the 12 locations in area F shown in the figure.

10. Drill the spot welds in the 2 locations in area G shown in the figure.

Note

• When drilling the spot welds in the 2 locations in area G shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

11. Remove the front side frame (outer) and the front side frame reinforcement (outer) at the same time as shown in the figure.

12. Continuous arc weld area H shown in the figure.

13. Plug welds in the 14 locations in area I shown in the figure and install the front side frame (outer).

6. Remove the front side frame reinforcement (inner) from a new front side frame (inner).

7. Rough cut the area D shown in the figure.

8. Continuous arc weld in area E shown in the figure and install the front side frame reinforcement (inner).

9. Continuous arc weld in area F shown in the figure.

10. Plug welds in the 11 locations in area G shown in the figure and install the front side frame (inner).

11. Rough cut the area H shown in the figure.

12. Remove the front side frame (outer) and the front side frame reinforcement (outer) at the same time as shown in the figure.

13. Drill the spot weld in the 1 location in area I shown in the figure and drill through-hole.

14. Drill through-holes in the 9 locations in area J shown in the figure using a drill.

16. Plug welds in the 10 locations in area L shown in the figure and install the front side frame (outer).
