Note

•  The integrity of the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module, perform the following procedure.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module and verify if any DTC is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE].)

•  If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE].)

•  If DTCs are not detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM].)
