FRONT DRIVE SHAFT INSPECTION

1.  Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Inspect the connections for any looseness.

•  If there is any malfunction, tighten or replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Inspect the dust boot for cracks and damage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (TRIPOD JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY.)

5.  Move the spline area and joint area up/down and left/right and inspect for excessive play.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (TRIPOD JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY.)
