REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. To prevent scratches or damage, protect the position (vehicle body side) shown in the figure using protective tape.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the fastener.

4. Remove the fastener.

5. Move the rear over fender in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clips from the body panel.

6. Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Remove the rear splash shield. (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8. Remove the cap.

9. Remove screws A and B.

10. Remove the screw.

11. Remove the fastener.

12. Hold the rear end of the rear bumper, move the rear bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, and detach the rear bumper hooks from the rear bumper slider.

13. Move the rear bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear bumper bracket.

14. Disconnect the connector.

15. Remove the wiring harness clip.
16. Remove the rear bumper.

17. Install in the reverse order of removal.
18. If the rear bumper is replaced, perform the blind spot monitoring (BSM) radar test. (See BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) RADAR TEST.)
