Installation Procedure

1.  Before installing the new part, drill holes for plug welding in the 29 locations in area D, 29 locations in area G, and 14 locations in area H.

2.  When installing the new part, measure the dimensions of each part following the body dimensions and align with the basic dimension.

3.  After temporarily installing the new part, make sure the related parts fit properly.

4.  Before installing a floor side panel No.2 (new) to the vehicle body, spot welds in the 7 locations in area A shown in the figure, and install the jack bracket (new). (RH only)

5.  Plug welds in area B (LH: 11 locations, RH: 12 locations) shown in the figure from the rear wheel housing and install floor side panel No.2.

6.  Drill plug weld holes at the 12 locations in area C shown in the figure from the trunk compartment using a drill.

Note

•  For the plug weld holes at the 12 locations in area C shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

7.  Plug welds in the 29 locations in area D shown in the figure and install the floor side panel No.1 rear.

8.  Drill plug weld holes at the 4 locations in area E shown in the figure using a drill.

Note

•  For the plug weld holes at the 4 locations in area E shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

9.  Cut and join the part to area F shown in the figure.

10.  Plug welds in the 29 locations in area G shown in the figure and install the front side panel No.1 front.

11.  Plug welds in the 14 locations in area H shown in the figure.

12.  Arc spot welds in the 2 locations in area I shown in the figure and install the brace reinforcement.
