Removal Procedure

Caution

•  To prevent injury, remove the curtain air bag module before performing the work.

1.  Rough cut the 3 locations in area A shown in the figure.

2.  Drill the spot welds in the 91 locations in area B shown in the figure and remove the cab side frame outer (center pillar outer).

Caution

•  If cutting work is done using flame, a fire could occur because an insulator is inserted in the locations shown in the figure. When performing the cutting work near the insulator insert area, avoid using flame and use an air saw or drill.

3.  Drill the spot welds in the 8 locations in area C shown in the figure and remove the center pillar reinforcement.

Note

•  When drilling the spot welds in the 8 locations in area C shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

4.  Drill the spot welds in the 25 locations in area D shown in the figure.

5.  Remove the center pillar reinforcement.

6.  Remove the side sill reinforcement (front). (See SIDE SILL PANEL REMOVAL [PANEL REPLACEMENT].)

7.  Drill the spot welds in the 11 locations in area E shown in the figure.

8.  Drill the spot welds in the 9 locations in area F shown in the figure, pull the center pillar (inner) in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, pull it out of the roof rail (inner) and the roof rail reinforcement, and then remove it.
