Removal Procedure

1.  Remove the floor side panel. (See FLOOR SIDE PANEL REMOVAL [PANEL REPLACEMENT].)

2.  Rough cut the area A shown in the figure.

Caution

•  Be careful not to damage crossmember No. 4 (front) and crossmember No. 4 (rear) component when rough cutting part A shown in the figure. Otherwise, the vehicle strength may become diminished.

3.  Drill the spot welds in the 11 locations in area B shown in the figure.

4.  Remove a part (shaded area) of the trunk floor panel.

5.  Drill the spot welds in the 14 locations in area C shown in the figure.

6.  Remove the rear side frame.
