Purpose, Function
• The catch tank temporarily accumulates evaporative gas introduced into the intake manifold from the purge solenoid valve and suppresses pulsation occurring when the evaporative gas is inducted into the intake manifold.
Construction
• The catch tank is located near the purge solenoid valve.
Operation
• When evaporative gas flows from the charcoal canister to the purge solenoid valve, pulsation is suppressed by passing the evaporative gas through the hollowing of the catch tank
